Timpani is a lightweight, compact and powerful handheld device, designed to conduct middle ear screening tests simply, swiftly and accurately. It is capable of performing automatic tympanometry exam as well as, optionally licensed, acoustic reflexes test and screening pure tone audiometry. The device features a wide easy to read full-colour display with touchscreen interface.

 THE LICENSES

Available with a range of optional licenses, the device is able to meet the needs of private medical practices, clinics and hospitals alike.

The basic version of Timpani allows performing only the screening tympanometry using 226 Hz probe tone. The optional available licenses are:

    1 kHz probe tone license - To conduct tympanometry also on children

   Reflex license (Basic) - To conduct ipsilateral acoustic reflex test at 1 kHz

   Reflex license (Plus) - To conduct ipsilateral acoustic reflex test at 0.5, 1, 2 and 4 kHz

Screening Pure Tone Audiometry - To conduct pure tone air conduction audiometry

 THE OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

Upon request, Timpani can be supplied with its docking station, ideal to house the device, to recharge the battery and to transfer data to the PC at the same time. Moreover, it is possible to print your exam’s results directly from the device thanks to the thermal portable mini printer, available upon request too: the communication with Timpani is wireless, via Bluetooth connection.

With only 3 button presses required from starting the Otowave 102-C to performing a test, this product is ready to go as soon as you need it.

The Otowave 102-C is supplied with its own Data Management Software (ampliSuite) as well as connection modules to the leading medical record systems including NOAH and AuditBase.

The programmable reflex test can be configured for one or more test frequencies (500, 1kHz, 2kHz and 4kHz) and also features a fast IPSI multi-level screening mode.

AUTOMATIC TEST SEQUENCES

THE PROBE

Flute features an extremely light, small and sturdy metal probe, which can be very rapidly disassembled and cleaned. The probe is connected to the small Control Box, through which you can select the ear and start the exam.

Maico’s touchTymp RaceCar makes immittance testing easy and fast by focusing the child’s attention on an exciting animated car race for the duration of the tympanometry or reflex screening procedure. The colorful animation engages the child, reducing the likelihood of breaking the seal between probe tip and ear and having to retest.
